The Google Platform

The Google Platform is a force to be reckoned with. 
It's safe to say that my life would be incomplete without Google in it. Throughout the years, I've developed somewhat of a love affair with Google, based on sheer necessity.

Google, Google- How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:

1. Google Sites
2. Google Drive
3. Google Calendar
4. Blogger
5. Google Earth
6. Google Search
7. Gmail
8. Picasa
9. Translator
10. Circles

and so much more!

Google Sites Review

Advantages of creating a Google Site:
Google Sites is an awesome tool that publishes information either on the internet or closed group intranet. One of the great features of this site is Google makes collaboration easy. You can easily collaborate with your co-workers, team, or peers. Site creators can control who has access to the site as well as who can edit and share information. 


Google automatically saves information that you input which saves a lot of time and energy in the event that your page closes unexpectedly. This also provides quick, updated access at any given time.

Google Drive Review

Google Drive is, in my opinion, one of the most useful features of the Google platform. With Google Drive, you are able to create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, forms or drawings straight from the Google Drive page. All you need is a gmail account and a one-time Google Drive download. This is especially useful for those computers, tablets, or phones that do not have software such as: Microsoft Office or iWorks. 


Your files are saved automatically every few seconds and just about every time you update the document. In addition, you are able to connect your different devices to be able to sync them wirelessly. If you work on documents on your desktop or laptop, you would immediately be able to access those documents from your tablet. This makes life so much easier in this technologically advanced civilization that we live in.

You can easily "share" your documents with others and you can also control if you would like each person you share with to either edit the document, or simply view it. This makes collaborating on a document easier than ever before.
